Highway maintenance and other works scheduled to take place in our village over the next few weeks, which are liable to disrupt traffic, are as follows:-
- Ongoing until 26th March 2021 – Multi-way traffic lights – A60 Loughborough Road on the eastern side of the roundabout at the junction with Mere Way – To install a toucan crossing point, widen the footway, upgrade street lighting, install a new access for the housing development, upgrade existing surface water drain, widen approaches onto the roundabout, resurface the carriageway, add white lining and anti skid surface. - 8.00am Monday 30th November 2020 to 5.00pm Tuesday 1st December 2020 – Closure of Top Road including temporary suspension of One Way restriction – along Fuller St, between its junctions with Top Road and Musters Rd (to enable diversion required for Top Rd closure) PLUS temporary Two-Way traffic signals Asher Lane, from its junction with Top Rd for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction – to enable Western Power Distribution to provide new underground connections to properties on the east side of Asher Lane.
- 9.00am Monday 30th November 2020 to 11.59pm Wednesday 2nd December 2020 – Gully cleansing along Clifton Road and Pasture Lane – stop/go boards in use – Nottinghamshire County Council.
- Sunday 6th December 2020 from 8.00am – Junction of Asher Lane and the A60 Loughborough Road – temporary two-way traffic signals in use during facing of poplars – to prevent overhead cable damage – British Telecom.
Residents and visitors are warned of potential delays for drivers and passengers using Nottingham City Transport’s Navy 3 and Green 10 Ruddington buses during the above work.
